Treatment Services

Oral examination and Diagnosis

This is the component of a dental visit used to identify an issue or a disease in a particular area in the mouth prior to treatment. Initial examination is performed on newly-assigned personnel. This is also an administrative requirement during the Annual Physical Examination, and is also required for Promotion, Commission, Call to Active Duty, Extension of Tour of Active Duty, Security of Tenure, Reenlistment, Schooling, and for similar purposes.

Oral Surgery

Oral Surgery is the branch of Dentistry that deals with treatment of oral conditions requiring surgical intervention. This includes but is not limited to closed tooth extractions, wisdom tooth extractions, and bone recontouring.







Restorative Dentistry

Restorative Dentistry covers treatment of diseases and defects of the hard tissues to the teeth, including cavities of the teeth, discoloration, and tooth fractures. This aims to treat symptoms such as tooth sensitivity as well as esthetic concerns through the use of dental fillings, dental crowns, and similar restorative options.




Periodontics

Periodontics is the dental specialty that focuses on the conditions that concern the gums and other supporting tissues of teeth. This addresses concerns such as bleeding and swelling of the gums, awkward sensations relating to tooth cleanliness, and undesired movement of teeth. This branch also aims to help patients maintain optimum oral hygiene.



Prosthodontics

Prosthodontics is concerned with the design, manufacture, and fitting of artificial replacements of missing teeth and other parts of the mouth in order to help our patients regain full dental function. This includes the making of fixed or removable, and partial or complete dentures.






Endodontics

Endodontics deals with the diseases and injuries of the soft tissues (pulp) of the tooth and its surrounding tissues. This specialty can help with chronic and acute pain of the teeth, as it includes root canal therapy.

Orthodontics

Orthodontics concerns the treatments of irregularities in the teeth, giving attention to alignment and occlusion. This includes but is not limited to the use of dental braces and retainers.
